Juventus winger Federico Chiesa once considered an option for Barcelona, has given green light to join Liverpool.
Despite Barcelona’s initial interest, the Catalan club has yet to make a formal offer, and Chiesa has now reportedly given Liverpool the nod for a potential move.
Barcelona’s talks with Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani never progressed to direct negotiations with Juventus, reports Football Espana.
Although Chiesa, 26, was open to a move to the Camp Nou, Liverpool’s approach seems to have gained nore6 traction.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa is ready to make the switch to Anfield, with a deal likely to be finalized for a fee between €12-15 million.
The winger’s prospective salary of €4-5 million per year is unlikely to pose a problem for Liverpool as well.
