He was born into a Yoruba Christian household and spent the majority of his childhood in Olambe, Ogun State. His father, Mr Adesokan, was a Lagos-based businessman, and his mother, Mrs Adesokan, was an entrepreneur. He has two siblings, a brother and a sister, who have decided to remain out of the spotlight.

Shank started his primary education at Goodness and Mercy Private School in Olambe, Ogun State. After that, he attended Lagos State Model College Meiran for secondary education. Most people are unaware that Shank holds a Bachelor of Science degree. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, offers a degree in electrical engineering.

Shank acquired his love of comedy while at university, where he created skits and memes for entertainment. In an interview, he stated that early exposure to comedy superstars such as Eddie Murphy, Kevin Hart, and Basketmouth influenced his humorous approach, which combines worldwide influences with local flair.
