A Nigerian baker expresses heartbreak over the outcome of events following a cake she had baked herself to surprise her children.

A video circulating on social media captured the unidentified woman gratefully expressing an instinct that led her to discover a rat in the cake.

According to the woman, the plan was to surprise her children with the cake; however, while baking the cake, a rat fell into the batter, possibly from the oven.

In the video, she could be heard stating her shock while thanking her stars for averting a shameful disaster of unintentionally feeding such a contaminated snack to her children.

The video has since generated a wave of reactions on social media, with many preaching cleanness in environments where food is made.
