A Good Samaritan has helped reunite two children, who were displaced along the Kaduna Expressway after losing their mother in a fatal accident, with their family.
According to reports, the mother, who is now deceased, was travelling to Kaduna with three children but was involved in a car crash that claimed her life and that of one of her children.
In the video circulating on the internet, the remaining two children were being questioned about their address and other vital information that would help find their father and other family members.
The oldest child, who is about 10 years old, disclosed that they live at the Air Force Base in Kaduna State, mentioning the name of their school, neighbours, and others. The younger child, about three years old, was too young to understand the situation and could only watch the good Samaritan questioning her brother.
Locating the family of displaced children
The Good Samaritan spread the word by sharing the video with an influential social media influencer, who reposted it for a wider reach.
“According to information gathered please Sir/Ma, these children were on their way to Kaduna from holidays but had an accident along the road and their mum with a small child died in the accident process.
The children said they are from Air Force Base Kaduna Block C7. Please, someone should help and look for their father or necessary relatives,” the caption on the video stated.
In no time, the family was located, and the children were reunited with their father. Reports also confirmed that the deceased mother has been buried.
