Wolves have reached an agreement to sign Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare from Belgian side Genk in a deal worth €27m, with the player scheduled to undergo a medical on Saturday (today).
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement, stating that the 23-year-old will complete his medical before finalising the move to Molineux.
Arokodare, who finished last season as the Belgian league’s top scorer with 23 goals and seven assists in 45 appearances, had been linked with AC Milan in recent weeks.
However, Wolves moved faster to secure his signature as they seek to strengthen their attack after Cunha’s departure.
The striker’s limited involvement with Genk this season, mainly from the bench, further fuelled speculation over his exit.
Genk sporting director Dimitri De Condé had earlier suggested that a transfer was inevitable, describing Arokodare as “ready to take the next step.”
