A Nigerian widow who works as a cleaner and earns N50,000 monthly reportedly had N47,000 deducted from her salary.

According to a lengthy Facebook post by Amanda Chisom’s page, the widow, also a mother of four, was absent from work to care for her sick child.

Despite informing the Human Resources (HR) department and requesting permission, she was issued a query, resulting in a significant deduction in her salary.

During a church service, her pastor called her out in front of the congregation, transferred N100,000 to her and promised a Point of Sale (POS) machine, which has been fulfilled.

Additionally, church members donated N100,000 to the widow, who has commenced her POS business.

Reacting to this, a user identifed as Loveth Okinel remarked, “That HR has no right to deduct her salary. She can sue the company”.

Another user, Queen Debs stated, “Some HR are so evil, just like my moms company, they are evil, they don’t even want you to succeed”.

While Martins Ike wrote, “These stupid HR’s they were the the major reason I left my current work place of two years”.

However, Orji Augustine added, “I recommend that kind of church, not all this way your tithe and offering kind of church”.
