Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu Wazobia, is a Nigerian television personality, comedian, actor, and content developer. He was born on August 5, 1982, in Kaduna, Nigeria, and attended Madonna University in Anambra State to pursue an accounting degree. During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, Nedu worked as an on-air personality for a Jigawa radio station. He eventually worked as a site manager in Abuja before relocating to Lagos to focus on television and entertainment.

Nedu is most recognized for his work at Wazobia FM 94.1 Lagos, where he provides daily news in Pidgin English. He has established various humorous characters, including Sister Nkechi, Alhaji Musa, EndTime Landlord, and Officer Jato, which have earned him a significant following on social media. Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, alias Nedu Wazobia, was born on August 5, 1982. He is 42 years old and of Igbo descent, yet he was born and reared in Kaduna, Nigeria’s northernmost state.

Nedu Wazobia, originally from Enugu State, apparently studied accounting at Madonna University in Elele Okija, Anambra State. He completed his NYSC at a radio station in Jigawa while working as an on-air presenter.

Later, after completing his NYSC in Jigawa, he relocated to Abuja to work as a site manager, a period in his life that he described as unfulfilled. After two years of working as a site manager, he traveled to Lagos to realize his lifelong ambition of being a broadcaster and entertainer.

In 2021, Uzoamaka Ohiri, Nedu’s ex-wife, accused him of domestic violence during their marriage. She said he physically abused her, even as she was recuperating from delivery.

In response, Nedu disputed the charges and stated that a DNA test indicated that their first kid was not biologically his. This discovery startled the audience and sparked heated discussions on social media.

He stated that his marriage to Uzoamaka had been dissolved, but his estranged wife denied this and challenged him to present the divorce papers.

On Friday, September 3, 2021, Uzoamaka Ohiri, Nedu Wazobia’s estranged wife, called him out for physically and verbally harassing her. Uzoamaka Ohiri accused Nedu Wazobia of assaulting her barely weeks after giving birth via cesarean section. However, Nedu Wazobia denied the allegations made against him by his estranged wife.
