Farioli delivers in debut season

The triumph marks a standout debut campaign for manager Francesco Farioli, who secures the first major trophy of his coaching career. Porto now move to 31 league titles, extending their status among Portugal’s most successful clubs.

Benfica slip ends title race

Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho’s Benfica relinquished control of their match after going two goals ahead, with Nicolas Otamendi sent off early in the second half.

Famalicao capitalised to earn a draw and effectively hand Porto the advantage.

Porto’s title win caps a consistent campaign, with key contributions across the squad, including Nigerian internationals Zaidu Sanusi and Terem Moffi, who played roles during the season run-in.
