Dr. Omodayo-Owotuga previously worked as Group Executive Director, Finance and Risk Management at Ardova Plc, where he oversaw various strategic restructuring and capital-raising projects that increased shareholder value.
First HoldCo Plc has appointed Dr. Julius B. Omodayo-Owotuga as Executive Director of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, effective May 13, 2026.
The appointment, which has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, aims to boost the bank’s leadership capabilities in strategic finance, governance, risk management, and institutional change.
In a notification to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public, the company stated that Dr. Omodayo-Owotuga has over 24 years of expertise in banking and financial services, infrastructure finance, power, oil and gas, audit, and consultancy.
Before his new position, he served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of First HoldCo Plc from 2021 to 2026.
He most recently served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Geregu Power Plc, where he was instrumental in governance changes, institutional restructuring, operational efficiency, and the company’s historic NGX offering.
