Celebrity socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest has spoken out after losing the APC primary election for the House of Representatives seat in Imo State.

Reacting to the outcome of the primaries, the celebrity barman expressed disappointment over the result, particularly after the support he claimed to have given to community elders ahead of the election.

“I’m a hustler, and I didn’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community. I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” he said.

Despite the setback, Cubana Chief Priest stated that he does not regret venturing into politics, adding that the experience taught him valuable lessons about loyalty, trust, and the realities of the political system.

It will be recalled that last month, he declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The nightlife entrepreneur announced his ambition in a video shared on Instagram, confirming plans to represent Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.

His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users sharing differing opinions about his comments on the elders and the election process.
