A Nigerian lady has sparked mixed reactions on social media after sharing her opinion about aging, relationships, and financial independence for women.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the lady encouraged women not to panic about getting older but instead focus on building their lives, careers, and friendships.
According to her, women should prioritize making money, developing hobbies, and maintaining a strong circle of friends rather than feeling pressured to settle down because of age.
In her words, she said:
“So this is what I think. For men, age might be a problem, but for a woman, make your money and have your own community. Keep your girls around, have your own life, have your hobbies and make enough money to take care of yourself.
Trust me, even at age 40 you’ll still be looking really chic. You’re just a girl. At 40, you’re a girl. At 50, you’re still a girl.”
The lady further claimed that financially independent women can still attract younger and attractive partners if they choose.
“As a matter of fact, if you make money, you can even marry someone younger, finer, six-pack, with money and everything.”
However, she argued that older men between 38 or 40 and above may struggle more in relationships, claiming that some women might only be interested in them for their money.
Her remarks have since generated debate online, with many social media users sharing different opinions about age, relationships, and financial independence.
