Zenith Bank Plc has been named Nigeria’s Best Bank at the prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, standing out as the nation’s top performer.

The award recognises Zenith Bank’s exceptional financial performance, innovative strategies, and strong commitment to digital transformation and sustainability.

This year’s Euromoney Awards saw over 770 entries from top global financial institutions, including HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Citibank, Barclays, Standard Bank, and the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS). Amid stiff competition, Zenith Bank stood out as Nigeria’s standout performer.

According to Euromoney, the annual Awards for Excellence celebrate financial institutions that demonstrate leadership, innovation, and resilience in their respective markets. Winning banks are assessed on a range of criteria, including performance, strategic vision, and service excellence.

Reacting to the honour, the group managing director and chief executive officer of Zenith Bank Plc, Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, expressed delight at the global recognition.

Zenith Bank’s consistent performance has seen it collect numerous accolades in recent years. It was recently ranked the Number One Bank in Nigeria by Tier-1 Capital for the sixteenth consecutive year in the 2025 edition of The Banker’s Top 1000 World Banks Ranking.
