Liverpool stunned Paris Saint-Germain with a dramatic 1-0 win at Parc des Princes, despite being second-best for most of the Champions League last-16 first leg.
A late goal from substitute Harvey Elliott and a masterclass from goalkeeper Alisson Becker secured an unlikely win for the visitors.
From the opening whistle, PSG dominated.
Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola relentlessly attacked Liverpool’s backline, while Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz dictated the midfield.
However, Alisson proved unbeatable, denying the hosts with a series of outstanding saves.
As PSG continued to pile on the pressure, frustration grew.
Liverpool, offering little in attack, seemed set to settle for a goalless draw.
But in the 87th minute, against the run of play, Darwin Nunez set up fellow substitute Elliott, who fired past Gianluigi Donnarumma to snatch a shock lead for the Reds.
Despite their dominance, PSG were left empty-handed and now face a dunting task at Anfield in the return leg.
