He reportedly sustained minor injuries after a terrifying car accident following Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-1 Bundesliga victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Recall the 23-year-old posted photos and videos on social media, showing the bad state of his vehicle and a bloodied hand.
Boniface missed Leverkusen’s Champions League match against Brest on Wednesday.
But he returned to practice on Friday as the Bundesliga champions prepare for their upcoming clash against Werder Bremen on Saturday at the Weserstadion.
His presence could be a crucial boost for manager Xabi Alonso’s side, given Boniface’s strong form this season, with five goals in seven Bundesliga appearances.
