The Dutch struck early, with Tijjani Reijnders scoring just two minutes into the match after a perfectly timed pass from Ryan Gravenberch.
Denzel Dumfries missed a golden opportunity to double the lead shortly after, sending a free header over the bar.
Germany then found their way back into the game with a quick turnaround before halftime.

Deniz Undav capitalized on a Matthijs de Ligt error to equalize, and Joshua Kimmich put the visitors ahead in stoppage time.
The Netherlands responded early in the second half, as Denzel Dumfries tapped in a cross from Brian Brobbey to make it 2-2.
Despite both sides having chances, including a lob attempt from Undav, the match ended in a draw.
