Rosemary Chukwuma has sealed her place in the semi-finals of the Women’s 100m race at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Chukwuma finished third in her preliminary round with a time of 11.26 seconds.
Ewa Swoboda of Poland won the race with a season’s best of 10.99 seconds, while Dina Asher-Smith of the United States came second at 11.01 seconds.
The Nigerian is one of three African women advancing to the semi-finals.
She joins Marie-Josée Ta Lou of Ivory Coast, who clocked 10.87 seconds, and Gina Bass of Gambia, who finished with a time of 11.01 seconds.
The Women’s 100m semi-finals are scheduled for 6:30PM on Saturday.
