Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr is being dragged online for shaking popular Fuji musician, King Sunny Ade amongst other notable dignitaries.

The video was shared to Twitter by user, @gemyoruba, where he called her out for her actions.

In the video she could be seen getting introduced to the men who were sitted close to Burna Boy’s mother.

Based on the Yoruba culture and owing to their honorary status, she was supposed to kneel while greeting.

However, the young artiste stood and shook their hands in form of greetings.

This enraged so many Netizens who believe she is disrespectful and not a true daughter of the soil.

The singer immediately came out to clarify things, explaining that she was nervous at first and she came back to the right thing later on.

She wrote;

“😭😭 I’m so sorry , I had just walked in and all the lights and nerves didn’t let me see but i came back around to greet everyone properly, I have never been that girl to be disrespectful, I’m a proper Yoruba girlllll and the video didn’t start until after I’d greeted burna’s mom ! I’m very sorry to the legend, uncle and King Sunny Ade”
